Buying snapshot

Quick buying snapshot

A compact view of who this tool fits, what it costs, and what to confirm before choosing it.

Best for
  • Your primary mail platform is Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace: Both Microsoft Exchange Online and Gmail are supported, with API-connected protection and multiple enforcement modes.
  • You want pre-delivery protection without replacing Microsoft or Google as the mail gateway: Protect (Inline) uses SaaS APIs and provider mail-flow rules to inspect messages before mailbox delivery.
More buying conditions
  • You need one policy surface for email, file-sharing, and messaging applications: The Email & Collaboration packages list Microsoft 365, Gmail, Slack, Teams, Dropbox, Box, ShareFile, and Google applications.
  • Account compromise is a central email-security concern: All four packages include account-takeover anomaly prevention, and the product can block compromised Microsoft accounts or support administrator action.
Not for
  • You require a conventional MX-based secure email gateway or broad standalone on-premises mail-server support: The target is an API-connected cloud service; hybrid support is limited to documented Microsoft modern hybrid mail flow where MX points to Microsoft 365.
  • You need transparent direct pricing and contract terms for every package: The direct package page is quote-led and does not publish amounts, units, payment timing, minimums, or commitment terms.
More buying conditions
  • You expect DLP, archiving, DMARC operations, awareness training, leaked-credential monitoring, SSPM, or analyst-led response in every base package: DLP is limited to Complete Protect, and the other named layers are separately positioned add-ons.
Pricing
  • Four direct sales-quoted packages combining Email Only or Email & Collaboration scope with Advanced Protect or Complete Protect; a vendor-sold AWS Marketplace route publishes 12-month per-user prices for the two collaboration packages.
  • Email Only - Advanced Protect · Requires quote · custom quote
Free or trial access
  • No permanent free plan is published. Check Point provides a 14-day full-license trial; the MSP guide states that IRaaS and Archiving are excluded. The trial is not a pricing plan.

  • 8 of 8 weighted claims have evidence links.
  • 2 A1 documentary official sources and 15 A2 official product sources are linked.
  • 2 independent review sources are retained, including 0 professional sources with an explicit hands-on method.
  • 4 weighted claims are past the review window.

Threat protection efficacy20%
85

The published coverage combines phishing, BEC, malware, malicious URL, sandboxing, CDR, account-takeover detection, and optional collaboration-app scope, which supports broad threat coverage across common email attack paths. The score is not absolute because the facts do not provide measured detection results or independent efficacy benchmarks.

Detection accuracy17%
80

Behavioral account-takeover detection, phishing ingestion, and multiple enforcement modes suggest a layered detection approach that can support accurate operational use. The score is constrained because the facts do not provide precision, recall, false-positive rates, or validation data.

BEC and identity protection15%
88

BEC, impersonation, and account-takeover anomaly prevention are explicitly included, which gives direct support for identity-focused email protection. The score is slightly below maximum because the facts do not establish every identity-source correlation or executive-impersonation control detail.

Response operations14%
80

The product supports automated or administrator-led account blocking, quarantine handling, and SIEM export, which helps teams operationalize response after detection. The score is limited by the absence of public detail on built-in playbooks, orchestration depth, and service-level response options.

Platform coverage and deployment13%
79

API coverage for Exchange Online and Gmail is baseline, Email & Collaboration packages add the listed office, messaging, and file-sharing apps, and multi-tenant plus regional hosting choices are supported, while traditional MX gateway and broad standalone on-premises server use are outside the established model.

Governance and integrations11%
74

The product offers SIEM export to multiple named destinations and can extend protection to collaboration and file-sharing applications in higher-scope packages. The score is moderate because the facts do not establish governance features such as archiving, DMARC management, or SSPM as included core capabilities.

Support and total cost10%
50

Commercial terms are mostly quote-based, and the facts state that DLP, collaboration coverage, archiving, IRaaS, DMARC management, phishing training, leaked-credential monitoring, and SSPM can add separate cost or scope. The score is low because buyers must request pricing and validate add-on boundaries before they can estimate total cost.

Detailed strengths and purchase cautions
Pros

Why it is worth considering

  • It supports API-connected protection for Microsoft Exchange Online and Gmail with pre-delivery or post-delivery enforcement modes, which suits buyers that want cloud email security without a traditional MX-based gateway requirement.
  • It includes anti-phishing, BEC, impersonation, spam, malware, malicious URL, sandboxing, and CDR controls in the published Advanced Protect stack, which gives security teams a broad published email threat set in one package.
  • It supports behavioral account-takeover detection and automatic or administrator-led account blocking, which can help teams operationalize response to identity-based email abuse.
  • It automatically ingests and handles user-reported phishing and can export to SIEM targets such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Chronicle, CrowdStrike, and TCP, which supports investigation workflows and downstream monitoring.
Cons

What to confirm before buying

  • DLP is only included in Complete Protect, so buyers that need data protection must plan for that higher package boundary.
  • Collaboration applications such as Teams, Slack, Google Workspace, Dropbox, Box, and ShareFile are only covered in the Email & Collaboration packages, so email-only editions do not extend to those app surfaces.
  • Direct package pricing, billing cadence, commitment, renewal, minimum quantity, implementation amount, and support amount are not public in the quote-based route, so commercial comparison requires a vendor quote.

GPTAI-assisted buyer perspective78

A good fit for Microsoft 365 or Gmail buyers that want API-connected email security with phishing, BEC, malware, URL, sandboxing, account-takeover, and user-report handling, and it becomes broader only in the Email & Collaboration packages or Complete Protect. Buyers should check the package boundary carefully because DLP is only in Complete Protect, collaboration-app coverage is only in Email & Collaboration, and pricing, billing cadence, and minimums are quote-based unless buying through the published AWS Marketplace route for the collaboration packages.

Review confidence

xAIAI-assisted buyer perspective78

API-connected cloud email security for Microsoft 365 and Gmail that delivers pre-delivery or post-delivery phishing, BEC, malware, URL, sandboxing, CDR, and account-takeover controls, with optional collaboration-app scope and DLP only on Complete Protect; buyers must confirm package tier, Inline mail-flow prerequisites, and separately quoted layers before purchase.

Review confidence
78/100
Model details
Strengths
  • API integration supports Monitor, Detect and Remediate, and Protect (Inline) modes for Microsoft Exchange Online and Gmail without requiring an MX-based gateway replacement.
  • All four packages include the published anti-phishing, BEC, impersonation, malware, malicious URL, sandboxing, CDR, Shadow IT, and behavioral account-takeover stack with automated or administrator-led account blocking.
  • Email & Collaboration packages extend the same threat controls to the listed Microsoft 365, Teams, Slack, Google Workspace, Dropbox, Box, and ShareFile applications when that scope is required.
  • Automatic ingestion of user-reported phishing plus SIEM export to Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Chronicle, CrowdStrike, TCP, and structured formats supports operational handoff.
Cautions
  • Direct acquisition of all four core packages is quote-based, so list price, billing cadence, commitment term, minimum quantity, and support fees are not publicly established outside the AWS Marketplace 12-month per-user figures for the two collaboration packages.
  • DLP is available only in Complete Protect, and coverage of collaboration applications requires an Email & Collaboration package rather than Email Only.
  • Protect (Inline) can require Microsoft 365 mail-flow rules, connectors, privileged roles, and deployment-specific configuration before pre-delivery enforcement is active.
  • Archiving, DMARC Management, IRaaS, AI Phishing Training, Leaked Credential Monitoring, and SSPM are additional security layers that can add separately quoted cost and operating scope.
